Franklin (Wisc.) offensive tackle Levon Myers' family talks about his decision to honor his commitment to Northern Illinois.

Levon Myers had an opportunity to switch his commitment from Northern Illinois to Wisconsin and play in the Big Ten and closer to home.

However, the Franklin High offensive lineman has decided to keep his word and choose the situation he feels most comfortable with, and that is in DeKalb.

"Levon has decided not to accept the scholarship offer from UW," his father Marion Myers reported. "There are many reasons for this, but most of all, he felt that he did not have any real connection with anyone at UW and most of all, he should honor his commitment to NIU because he honors his word. This is how we have raised him."

Myers is one of two Wisconsin linemen committed to the Huskies along with Josh Ruka.
