Reporter Mike Sullivan provides a free look at the individual game of a lead guard prospect who competes for one of the better boy's basketball programs in the country ...

Cameron Heywood, a 5-foot-4 lead guard prospect from the tri-state New York City area, is a backcourt player worth watching over the next few seasons. He is still so young. A member of the 2015 class, Cameron has plenty of time and many games and tournaments to make progress both physically and in the skill department.

He currently competes for Paramus Catholic High School of New Jersey, one of the better boy's basketball programs in the area.

From Spring Valley, New York, Heywood is an exciting, quick player that can break a defense down with his dribble and possesses quick hands too.

LOOKING AT CAMERON HEYWOOD'S INDIVIDUAL BASKETBALL GAME:

Heywood is a solid three point shooter who has good leadership skills. As he matures physically, his skill level will rise as will his consistency in running the offense.

He has competed effectively in AAU competition and in the IS8 spring and fall leagues.
