Source: Raiders to work out QB Leinart

Veteran quarterbacks Matt Leinart and Jim Sorgi are scheduled to work out for the Oakland Raiders on Tuesday.

Scout has confirmed Leinart's workout through a league source.

Leinart is a Heisman Trophy winner and a first-round draft pick by the Arizona Cardinals in 2006.

Beaten out by Kurt Warner in Arizona and later released, Leinart dislocated his shoulder against the Jacksonville Jaguars last season while playing for the Houston Texans as Matt Schaub's backup. He was placed on injured reserve.

Leinart has had an uneven career with 15 touchdown passes and 20 interceptions.

Sorgi's agent, Matt Brei, announced that the former Wisconsin QB would also try out for Oakland.

Sorgi, a former sixth-round draft pick, once backed up Peyton Manning with the Indianapolis Colts. He also spent the 2010 season on the New York Giants' roster, despite being placed on injured reserve with a shoulder injury.
