Coach Joker Phillips of Kentucky...

On his return to SEC Kickoff:

"I'm excited to be back here. This is a sign that college football is here. I'm sure the coaches before me and all of the ones after me will talk about how excited they are this time of year."

On the 2012 season outlook:

"Our goal in 2011 was to win our last game and we achieved that goal. Two years prior to that, we lost bowl games. That's a reason we're excited. Another reason we're excited? A lot of freshmen were put in a position to play significant roles in our last four games. I saw those freshmen grow in those four games, on offense and defense and special teams. Twenty-six of our 44 players are redshirt freshmen and sophomores this year. They're similar to our 2005-2006 teams that started our bowl season streaks."

On the Kentucky v. Tennessee rivalry:

"We have to beat Tennessee on a consistent basis. When I was in school, it was a big rivalry. Kentucky and Tennessee always played at the end of the season. It hasn't [remained] an emphasis, until I took over. We want to win our last game, whether it's the last game of our regular season or of the bowl season."
