The media says LSU will get its revenge on Alabama this season.

The media selected LSU to defend its SEC title this season by a nearly 2-to-1 margin over Alabama.

The Tigers went 13-0 en route to winning the SEC last year before falling to the Crimson Tide in the BCS Championship game.

LSU received 129 champion votes to Alabama's 65. Georgia received 14.

Among the others to receive a vote for national champion was Ole Miss -- a shocker considering the Rebels are coming off a 2-10 season and are bringing in a new head coach in Hugh Freeze.

Georgia was the pick to win the SEC East and face LSU in the SEC title game. The Bulldogs received 132 votes to win the division. South Carolina had 72.
