Proviso West has had a few college prospects come through their doors over the last few years, most notably Kyle Prater, now at Northwestern.
The Panthers have another big pass catcher on their team in 6'4, 205-lb junior Denzel Tolliver, who already has a scholarship offer.
"Northern Illinois offered me. It was the summer. It was real exciting. They had me sit with my parents and told me I had the offer. I know I have to work hard to keep it."
With his size, Tolliver says he is being recruited as a receiver and tight end. He has not visited the Huskies yet, but has heard from a few other schools.
"I've gotten mail from Kentucky and Ball State."
Tolliver earned that offer after NIU saw him at their 7 on 7, and he also caught the eye of another in-state program after a similar tournament.
"I went to the Northwestern 7 on 7 and Northwestern showcase. They said they like my potential and all that and I just have to keep grades up to be recommended to go there."
