Daub now wants to take things much slower, go through the entire process, and make sure of things before he commits again.
"I am just looking at all of my options again. I am going to take a lot of visits in the spring and summer, I am going to attend some camps, and I am going to take my official visits before making my decision. I just want to start over again."
All have offered the 6-foot-3, 230 pound junior out of Jacksonville (Fla.) Sandalwood and the Trojans recently pulled the trigger.
"I talked to USC on the phone this past weekend and they offered me a scholarship. I was a little surprised by the offer to be honest. I did not really see it coming, so it was pretty exciting. I do not know a lot about them yet, but I will get out there to check them out."
Lane Kiffin's program is now in the mix for this Scout300 linebacker in the 2014 class, but the Tigers of LSU still have the edge with 15 months to go.
"I want to keep LSU as the No. 1 school on my list," Daub said. "They have a great program, I like their coaches, and they are still a school high on my list. They really stepped up and played well against Alabama Saturday and I still really like them."
Scout currently ranks Daub as the No. 5 middle linebacker in the 2014 class.
