For the Jacksonville (Fla.) Sandalwood five-star, perhaps a sign of his tactics was revealed when 2014 Sandalwood linebacker Kain Daub de-committed from LSU on Tuesday.
"I knew it was coming." Walker admitted.
Daub, who holds an Alabama offer among others, was set to visit Tuscaloosa with his teammate this weekend - but plans have changed. However, it doesn't mean he won't be in town with Walker sooner than later.
"He'll be taking two [visits] to Alabama starting next week," said the commit.
While working on Daub in between classes and in the locker room is steady and relatively easy, it's not the case for other targets the 6-foot-4, 278-pounder is working on.
Fisher is currently verbally pledged to Virginia Tech and Tunsil, who is also expected in Tuscaloosa this weekend, is the class of 2013's top offensive lineman.
Fisher, a four-star OLB/DB met with the Tide commit earlier this fall. But is there a real chance he flips?
"Heck yea," he said. "Me and him took an official visit together to Alabama (September 29)."
When asked about his strategy to help sway Fisher and Tunsil, Walker's answer sure isn't a conventional one.
"Academics," he said.
But what about the team, culture, city of Tuscaloosa, SEC so on and so forth?
Said Walker of the football side of things, "Don't really talk about it. I tell them when you watch Alabama on TV or take a visit there, it will explain itself."
