Several of Alabama's injured players were more active Tuesday than they were Monday, including running back Eddie Lacy, who tweaked his left ankle against LSU.
It was another cold and cloudy afternoon Tuesday as No. 1 Alabama continued to prepare for No. 15 Texas A&M. The media was granted two periods to watch practice, here are some observations:
--In anticipation of facing scrambling quarterback Johnny Manziel on Saturday, Nick Saban had his defensive backs working on open-field tackling drills.
--Running back Eddie Lacy (ankle) was more active in practice after being fairly limited Monday, as Saban said he would be after tweaking his ankle against LSU.
--Wide receiver Amari Cooper (ankle) was running routes as normal.
--True freshman wide receiver Chris Black, who had surgery on his shoulder back in August, made his practice debut Monday. He ran routes and went through all the drills Tuesday, too, while wearing a black no-contact jersey.
--Wide receiver Kenny Bell, who sat some drills out during media viewing Monday, was not limited today. He was, however running pretty gingerly and had his left ankle wrapped. Saban has yet to mention him in an injury report though.
