Five Questions: Boston College

Dave Berk is back with his weekly "Five Questions" as Notre Dame heads to coach Brian Kelly's hometown looking for their 10th victory of the season.

QUESTION ONE

Can the Notre Dame defense contain wide receiver Alex Amidon?

The 5-foot-11, 186-pound Amidon has 67 catches for 1,073 yards and 6 touchdowns on the season and must be contained as many teams have not given him respect.

QUESTION TWO

Will the businesslike road version of the Irish continue against Boston College?

The Irish on the road have the mental make-up of a team that is full of energy and confidence. Any after affects carried over from the Pittsburgh game could play havoc with the Irish for the first time this season on the road.

QUESTION THREE

Can Everett Golson put together a complete game?

Golson went from hero to goat to hero last Saturday but must put together a complete game with fewer turnovers if the Irish are to remain perfect on the season.

QUESTION FOUR

Can the Irish defense get back to their stingy ways after last Saturday's lapse?

The 26 points scored by Pittsburgh were the most against the Irish this season. Boston College has only scored more than 20 points (all losses) three times this season and have not done so since their 34-31 loss to Army the first weekend of October.

QUESTION FIVE

Can the Irish move to 10-0 for the first time since 1993?

The Irish almost dropped their first game of the season at home last weekend. A win over Boston College not only makes this year's squad the first to go 10-0 since 1993, they would also be only the eighth team to do so in school history.
