Florida OL hoping to catch attention

Cody Asher is a standout offensive tackle prospect from Archbishop McCarthy High in south Florida and Scout caught up with him to discuss the latest.

Cody Asher is one of the top prospects on a team that will begin a state playoff run against Miami Central this week.

At 6-foot-5 and 265 pounds, Asher plays offensive tackle and he talked about the recruiting process up to this point.

"There are no offers yet but I've been talking to several schools," Asher said. "I went on an unofficial visit to USF, and Georgetown and Michigan State email me on a regular basis, I've talked to a coach at Florida Tech also, and a bunch of D3 school and NAIA schools email me."

Asher talked more about his recent trip to Tampa to see the Bulls.

"The unofficial visit was to their home opener game, and there is no news on an offer. They're still looking at the offensive tackle position."

The standout offensive line prospect is hoping that his senior film catches someone's attention, and he talked about what he'll be looking for when choosing a school.

"I'll be looking for a great education and a good football program," he said.
