Phillip Francis has been a driving force this year for Louisville Central High (Ky.)'s defense. Francis is tied for the lead in interceptions and is second on the team in tackles.

So far this season Central is in the third round of the 3-A Playoffs and sitting at 10-2. Francis has picked up 65 tackles and two interceptions this year.

"I've been focusing on that this year. And getting to the ball on every snap," said Francis. "This year is going great," he said.

Francis took a trip to Ohio State last month to see the Buckeyes take on Nebraska. He was pretty impressed with what he saw.

"Yeah, they talked with me about recruiting. They said they needed more athletic defensive backs. And Coach Meyer said if they offered, then I better commit. I'm not saying that they will offer, but if they do, I better be ready," Francis said.

Francis and Central will be taking on Bell County tomorrow night.
