"I have the All-Star game (Semper Fi All-American Bowl) in about a month, and other than that, just track and a couple of visits," says Allen.
Allen is scheduled to visit Eugene on December 1st, and he will be Tallahassee bound on December 15th. His final official trip will be to Palo Alto and is planned for January.
"I've been keeping in touch with all the coaches," Allen tells FOX Sports NEXT. "I talked to Coach (Lance) Anderson from Stanford, Coach (Devin) West from Florida State (Track and Field), and Coach (Jamie) Cook from Oregon (Track and Field), and I actually talked to Coach (Eric) Yarber from UCLA yesterday before the game.
First-year coach Jim Mora and UCLA, who is the leader in Allen's recruitment, made a statement on Saturday afternoon, beating crosstown rival, USC. Although Allen didn't make the trip to Westwood like he originally though he might, the recruit didn't miss a snap.
"It was a good game," he reflects. "It's always fun to see a big rivalry like that, and you know, UCLA came out on top. They played well. They capitalized on a couple turnovers early, they got up quick and that's what you have to do. You have to keep attacking them."
Allen admits that throughout the game, he was cheering for the Bruins, who are still at the top of his list.
"I think I'm going up to UCLA next weekend," he adds. "Ryan Castellani, our safety, he's a baseball player that's committed there. He's driving down with his dad to the Stanford game, so I think I'm going to go with them. That's the plan as of now."
