Photo Story: Navy rolls over Texas State

This is part II of Alison Althouse's photo story about Navy's victory over Texas State.
Tra’ves Bush (#9) breaks up a pass and ends Texas State’s drive early in the 2nd qtr.
Pablo Beltran (#11) punts 52 yards after Navy’s second series in the second quarter fails to make a first down.
After 9 plays and 42 yards, Texas State lined up in what looked like a field goal formation, only to have quarterback #17 (Shaun Rutherford) pick up the ball and attempt a pass to save the drive. Navy’s safety, Kwazel Bertrand (#17) wasn’t fooled and made the sack, allowing Navy to take over on downs.
A Pablo Beltran (#11) punt pushed Texas State back to the 8 yard line as time expired on the first half. Score: Navy 7, Texas State 0.
As the second half begins, Navy’s John O’Boyle (#83) forces a fumble by Texas State’s #80 (Jafus Gaines) and the ball is recovered by Navy’s James Britton (#3) on the Texas State 16 yard line.
Noah Copeland’s 16 yard rushing touchdown, and Nick Sloan’s successful PAT combine to increase Navy’s lead in the first series of the second half. Score: Navy 14, Texas State 0
Cody Peterson (#53) and Jordan Drake (#13) combine to tackle Texas State #19 (Chase Harper) at the Navy 36.
This time its Parrish Gaines (#2) and Matt Warrick (#51) who combine to tackle Texas State’s #19 (Chase Harper), this time at the Navy 19.
Gee Gee Greene rushes for 31 yard just before time expires on the 3rd quarter. Gee Gee was stopped by Texas State #27 (Colby Targun) and #40 (Jerrid Jeter-Gilmon).
Darius Staten (#20) pushes to get the first down before bring brought down by Texas State #27 (Colby Targun) and #95 (Jonathan Ward) at the Texas State 14.
Gee Gee Greene scores (and teammate Josh Cabral, #65 congratulates him) on a 10 yard run during this first series of the 4thquarter. With Nick Sloan’s successful PAT, the score is now Navy 21, Texas State 3.
Mids find a unique way to commemorate their 21 points.
Texas State #38 (Will Johnson) attempts the on-side kick after their first touchdown of the game brings the score to Navy 21, Texas State 10.
Fans get creative using the thunder sticks handed out by the Mids’ Team Awesome Crew.
Pablo Beltran (#11) is able to get the kick off for 45 yards, despite dropping the snap.
Texas State QB #17 (Shaun Rutherford) is stopped at the Navy 49 by Obi Uzoma (#44) and Brye French (#50).
As time expires, Team Awesome shows its game face as they begin to think about their next challenge: Beat Army! Final Score: Navy 21, Texas State 10
