"It was real nice," the 5'10, 215-lb Carson said. "They're definitely the favorite for me. They're good. I got to see last national title they won and all the Heisman Trophies. I spoke to coach Tony Alford."
Carson only played in one game this year due to injury, but is still hearing from a number of schools, and has taken several visits.
The first trip to West Lafayette went well for him.
"It was nice. They had a tough season, but it was nice. I talked to Coach Landholm before they went to the field."
Carson saw Ohio State defeat Illinois a few weeks back and he was impressed with The Horseshoe.
"It's nice. It's loud in there. There were 105,000 fans there. It was wild. I liked the atmosphere."
