Davaris McGowens Inks With High Point

During the early signing period the state's reigning AAA player of the year, Eastside's Davaris McGowens, signed his letter of intent with High Point University.

2013 SF Davaris McGowens of Eastside High School has signed his letter of intent with High Point University.

McGowens who is the state's reigning AAA Player Of The Year had multiple offers on the table but ultimately decided on High Point. A powerful wing who is also adept in the post as an undersized power forward McGowens saw his game evolve from that a center during his freshman season at Greenville High eventually to a swingman the past few seasons at Eastside High.

Watching his game develop we'd compare McGowens' game to that of current South Carolina Gamecock Lakeem Jackson.
