Big Dreams

2014 ThunderRidge QB Brody Westmoreland sees initial college attention.

2014 ThunderRidge quarterback Brody Westmoreland has big dreams, and why not? Leader of Colorado's top ranked football team, a top baseball prospect and a great scholar, Westmoreland can achieve those dreams. This week, Westmoreland, a dual threat QB who has accounted for 25 scores this season, is not focused on dreams but rather his team's big semifinal matchup against Valor Christian. Both schools are in Highlands Ranch, Colorado and are filled with players that have played together or against each other all the way back to grade school.

The 6-3 185 pound Westmoreland cites, "improvement in consistency and focus on getting every rep and play perfect" as areas of his game he is working on. Equally passionate about football and baseball Westmoreland reports he is gaining interest from colleges for both sports. In regard to football Westmoreland says he is hearing from Wyoming, Colorado State and Columbia.

A very strong student and member of the National Honor Society, Westmoreland carries a 3.78 GPA and could gain Ivy League interest for his academics and athletics. Right now Westmoreland has complete focus on this weekend's big game for the right to play in the 5A state final.
