The Oregon Ducks (5-0) shocked the basketball world on Friday night by derailing the No. 18 UNLV Running Rebels (2-1), 83-79 at Thomas & Mack Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. Relying on freshman Damyean Dotson's stellar play in the final two and half minutes, the Ducks iced the win and propels the Ducks to face Cincinnati on Saturday in the conclusion of the Global Sports Classic.

Damyean Dotson was Oregon's leading scorer with 19 points, hit a critical jump shot after the Ducks lost seniors
E.J. Singler
and
Tony Woods
as a result of fouling out. The two seniors (Singler and Woods) were troubled with foul problems for the entire second half of the game and finished the game with seven points apiece.
With Woods and and Singler on the bench, Dana Altman's crew depended upon Dotson, fellow freshmen
Dominic Artis
and
Ben Carter
plus seniors
Arsalan Kazemi
and
Carlos Emory
in the closing moments of the game. Artis finished the game with 11 points while Carter chipped in 12. Kazemi added seven and Emory was the second leading Duck shooter with 16.
Forward
Anthony Bennett
paced the Runnin' Rebs with 22.
Katin Reinhardt
heated up in the second half and had a total of 18 including hitting four 3-pointers. Bryce Dejean-Jones had 11 and Justin Hawkins finished with 12.
For the game Oregon shot 41.8 percent on 28-of-67 shooting despite only shooting 3-of-19 beyond the 3-point line. UNLV hit more 3s (8-of-30) but only hit 24-of-67 for a poor 35.8 shooting percentage.
