Rangers prospects Leonys Martin (0/4), Jurickson Profar (0/4), and Engel Beltre (0/3) combined to go hitless in 11 at-bats for Licey on Friday. Beltre took the hat trick, whiffing in each of his three plate appearances.
After getting out to a hot start in the Dominican Republic, Martin is now just 6-for-40 (all singles) over his last 10 contests.
Rangers catcher Luis Martinez has joined the Estrellas de Oriente following his stint with the Colombian national team in last weekend's World Baseball Classic Qualifier.
