South Carolina backup quarterback Dylan Thompson will start against Clemson Saturday night.

South Carolina backup quarterback Dylan Thompson will start against Clemson Saturday night.

Saturday will mark Thompson's second start of the season and his first against an opponent from a BCS conference.

Starting quarterback Connor Shaw has a nagging foot injury and has been limited in practice all week.

Shaw remains available to play.

Kickoff is set for 7:15 p.m. on ESPN.
