The record may not show it, but West Virginia has gotten better since its season-opener at Gonzaga, according to senior Deniz Kilicli. Thus, the Mountaineers aren't as frustrated as one might imagine with a 1-3 record.

Coach Bob Huggins said his team's struggles from the field have been frustrating -- particularly because so many of the shots have been from in close. The Mountaineers will have to continue to work the ball to the rim to shoot an efficient percentage, he said.

Guard Gary Browne briefly previewed Wednesday night's game against VMI and discussed the state of the team after last week's performance at the Old Spice Classic in Orlando.
