Florida QB is solid

Oshay Carter is a talented quarterback prospect from Trinity Christian Academy in Jacksonville and Scout caught up with him to discuss the latest.

Oshay Carter talked about his senior season that ended earlier than he and his teammates wanted.

"Our season went well but we came up shorter than we hoped, losing in the first round but it was still a good year."

Carter, 6-foot-4 and 230 pounds, believes he had a solid senior season personally.

"I don't know my exact stats but I had 23 touchdowns passes and 3interceptions."

Carter made a summer commitment to Georgia State and he remains pledged to them. He talked about their 2012 season.

"Georgia State didn't have a great season, but I think that was because they had a lot of injuries, and played a lot of good teams. I just can't wait to get up there next year. I talk to Coach Moore, we have a good relationship, he stays in touch with me reguraly."

Despite the early commitment, at least one BCS level school has still been in contact.

"Tennessee still contacts me and is still interested but that's about it," he said of the Vols, who have not yet offered. "I don't have any other visits planned right now but I'm taking my official to Georgia State in December or January. My commitment is very solid right now."
