LAKE FOREST, IL – The Chicago Bears have signed G/C Andre Gurode to the active roster, waived DT Amobi Okoye, signed OL Derek Dennis and WR Dale Moss to the practice squad and terminated the practice squad contracts of WR Raymond Radway and G Chris Riley.
The 6-4, 318-pound Gurode has started 127 of 151 games played over 10 seasons with Dallas (2002-10) and Baltimore (2011) after being drafted by the Cowboys in the second round (37th overall) of the 2002 NFL Draft. Last season he started five of 13 games played with the Ravens, with all five starts coming at left guard. The five-time Pro Bowler (2006-10) and two-time All-Pro (2007 & ‘09) has started at both guard and center during his NFL career.
Dennis is a 6-3, 315-pound rookie offensive lineman out of Temple University. He was originally signed by the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent and also saw time in the preseason with the New England Patriots.
Moss entered the NFL this season as an undrafted free agent of the Packers out of South Dakota State. The 6-3, 213-pound wide receiver spent the first 10 weeks of the regular season on Tampa Bay's practice squad.
