Ohio State offers super sophomore

Ohio State is the latest to offer Tallahassee Lincoln standout John Burt. He's a sophomore wide receiver prospect with a ton of talent.

This is just the beginning for John Burt. If you follow recruiting and don't know the name yet you will remember it quickly. He's a super sophomore recruit from Sunshine State powerhouse Tallahassee Lincoln. Yesterday, he landed another major BCS offer. This one came from Urban Meyer's Buckeyes.

"Ohio State offered yesterday," said Yusuf Shakir, Lincoln's coach. "I haven't even told him yet but I know he will be very excited. That's a big one. Florida State offered. So has Ole Miss and South Carolina (first offer)."

Burt, 5-foot-11 and 170-pounds, is a wide receiver with super speed. He will be the next in a very long line of outstanding recruits from Lincoln. But if you ask Burt that will be news to him.

"John has no idea of his talent and just how good he is," Shakir said. "And I think that's probably a good thing. This is a kid with so much talent and the best part is he works so hard in practice every day. He just loves to work."
