Junior running back Charles Walker had a strong season for the St. Xavier Tigers this year. The 5-foot-11, 180-pounder rushed for 1148 yards and 17 touchdowns in 12 games, before being injured against rival Trinity.

"I'm crutching my way through the days," said Walker. "I fractured my fibula in the Trinity game. I'm out for six to eight weeks. It could be worse. I'm going to stay positive," he said.

In the meantime, Walker took a trip to Northwestern to check out the Wildcats take on Big 10 foe, Illinois.

"I went to Northwestern last weekend. We went up and talked to some coaches and watched the Wildcats beat Illinois 50-14," he said.

Walker is looking forward to seeing one of the Northwestern staff in Louisville for a school visit.

"Coach Randy Bates is hopefully going to come down here to Louisville in January."

FOX Sports Next will have more on Walker and his recruitment in the coming weeks.
