After posting a 10-2 record with impressive wins in their final two games on national television, the San Jose State football team will be heading to Washington, D.C to participate in the Military Bowl. It will be the Spartans' first bowl appearance since 2006.

In three years, San Jose State went from 1-12 to 10-2 and will be rewarded with a trip to Washington, D.C., on Dec. 27 to play in the Military Bowl, according to the San Jose Mercury News. An official announcement is expected later today.

It will be the first bowl appearance for the Spartans since the 2006 season.
