"I mean it was a pretty good year, but we didn't get where wanted to go. But that can only happen for one team," said Rich. "I feel like I did pretty well this year. I played pretty well for the majority of games, a couple games there were so many defensive ends and I was trying to get used to each one. I felt like I improved blocking wise overall. I'd say I have a better feel for what someone is about to do."
Now that his season is over, he will turn his full focus to recruiting.
"I haven't really gotten any closer to a decision," said Rich. "I have some officials lined up, but that is it."
Rich holds offers from Eastern Washington, Harvard, North Dakota, Portland State, Washington State, Wyoming and Yale. Even with a long list of offers, he is pretty focused on a small group of schools.
"I am headed to Harvard this weekend and there are a couple others," said Rich. "I will probably visit Yale, Dartmouth and Princeton."
Academics are obviously a focus for Rich, but he talked about what else he will use to make a decision.
"Just that I like the program, how it is there," said Rich. "Not necessarily how good it is but the staff and how I get along with them. Probably the feel of the school."
