Game Film: Derrell Scott

On Saturday, Havelock (N.C.) running back Derrell Scott helped the Rams win the North Carolina 3A state championship for the second year in a row. See the 2014 running back in action in this presentation by FOX Sports Next.

Saturday's 3A North Carolina state championship game was close for two quarters. However, Havelock scored 35 unanswered points in the second half and went on to win 55-21.

Junior running back Derrell Scott was a big part of the Rams' second half explosion, rushing 114 yards and two touchdowns.

Scott finished with 18 carries for 149 yards and two touchdowns.The 5-foot-11, 185-pound playmaker was also named the game's offensive MVP.

The four-star prospect has scholarship offers from Duke, East Carolina, Florida State, Louisiana-Lafayette, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Ohio State, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia Tech. He is also attracting a significant amount of interest from Alabama, LSU, and Notre Dame.

He is the No. 11 running back in the 2014 class.
