Nacarius Fant had a huge junior season at Bowling Green High School.
The 5-foot-11, 170-pound Fant helped lead the Purples to a second straight Class 5-A Kentucky state title and has turned into one of the top college football prospects in the Bluegrass State.
Fant is ranked No. 157 in the Scout.com top 300 and is holding offers from Illinois and Western Kentucky, but looking to add to his list.
"I'm sitting on two," Fant said. "But after this (college) season when coaches sit down, I feel there could be a couple more coming in. I've been talking to a lot of schools, but I am sitting on two (offers) and hoping for more."
Fant said he believes one of those schools could be Louisville. He has made several trips to U of L and keeps in contact with the coaching staff.
He's also been on trips to Kentucky, Ohio State, Purdue and Vanderbilt and is hearing from Notre Dame, LSU, Oregon and several others.
"It's been good so far," Fant said.
After catching 51 passes for 1,600 yards as a sophomore, Fant had 70 catches for 1,335 yards and 19 touchdowns as a junior. He caught three passes for 85 yards and one TD in the 5-A title game win last weekend over Cooper.
"I have done pretty good this year," Fant said. "I'm just trying to make plays, just doing what I can to help the team.
"But I still need to get better. I need to get my speed up. Hopefully, I will grow over the summer. I just need to work on my footwork and getting bigger."
