Moody does it on both sides of ball

Chase Moody had a big game for University Christian on both offense and defense.

Senior running back/linebacker Chase Moody is going out in grand style, as he helped led Jacksonville University Christian to the 2A state title game over Miami Dade Christian 28-10. He finished with a team high six tackles and one sack and rushed for 22 yards.

"This is surreal," Moody said. "I just can't explain the feeling I have right now. This is my first time in the playoffs and my first time in a state championship game. This is just awesome."

Moody, 5-foot-10 and 185-pounds, is a transfer from Jacksonville Wolfson. He doesn't have any offers yet but is close on one and perhaps a few others.

"I think Charleston Southern is close to offering me," Moody said. "I am also hearing from teams like Georgia Southern, Florida Atlantic and now Georgia State. Hopefully good things will happen. I am hopeful."
