COOKEVILLE, Tenn. — Head coaches and assistants are coming and going out of Knoxville quicker than the geese soaring south for warmer weather.

Through it all, few Tennessee commitments have held as firm to their pledge as FOX Sports NEXT four-star Jalen Reeves-Maybin.

Reeves-Maybin's career at Northeast (Tenn.) High School came to a close with a heartbreaking 44-43 loss to Beech in a TSSAA Class 5A quarterfinal on Nov. 16.

In spite of fighting off pain from a torn labrum and consistent leg cramps, the Clarksville native ran for 337 yards on 30 carries with five touchdowns and tallied over 20 tackles defensively.

InsideTennessee caught up with one of the country's top gridiron athletes after the Toyota East-West All-Star Classic at Tucker Stadium on the campus of Tennessee Tech on Saturday. See what he had to say about his injury, the Vols, coach Butch Jones and more in the video below:
