Dupree named one of nation's top sophomores

Kentucky sophomore linebacker Alvin "Bud" Dupree has been honored by CollegeFootballNews.com as a Sophomore All-America selection.

An impressive second season at Kentucky has landed Alvin "Bud" Dupree on CollegeFootballNews.com's Sophomore All-America Team.

The UK linebacker/end had a breakout season, finishing second on the team with 91 tackles while leading the Wildcats with 12.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks. He closed the season on a high note with 10 tackles, three tackles for loss and a sack against Tennessee.

Dupree has recorded a sack, tackle for loss, fumble caused, fumble recovered or pass broken up in 13 of his last 16 games.

It marked the second honor of the season for Dupree, a native of Irwinton, Ga., who was also named third-team All-SEC.
