Lineman Gains Ivy Interest

Combination of strong academics and on the field play has created recruiting attention for 2013 Fossil Ridge offensive lineman Colin Peter.

Often two time All-Conference offensive linemen who meet the prerequisite size requirements gain college attention. Throw in stellar academics and you can see why Fossil Ridge senior Colin Peter is picking up FCS and DII looks.

Peter, at 6-3 250 high school left tackle looks best suited to move inside at the college level. An aggressive blocker who moves well and is equally adept in the pass and run game cites, "mobility, finishing blocks and aggressiveness" as the keys to his game.

Academically, Peter excels boasting a 3.95 GPA and an incredibly rare ACT of 32. These impressive academic accomplishments have created interest from Penn, Princeton, School of Mines, Lafayette College and the University of San Diego. Peter confirms that Ivy League schools have contacted him and he reports an offer from Southwest Minnesota State and increasing attention from Colorado School of Mines. Peter goes on to say School of Mines will make a home visit soon and could potentially offer.

Peters is aware of his game and the improvements needed to compete at the college level referencing the need to work on his strength and size. There is little doubt that these improvements, along with his inherent intelligence and on the field play will help Peter secure multiple college offers over the next few weeks.
