"Coach Frank said in the message that if I have a minute he'd love for me to call him," Riley explained. "I called and Frank congratulated me on winning state, and then he told me about their coaches meeting.
"He said they watched more of my tape and love the way I play. They have 22 commitments and are holding the last spot for Kendell Beckwith, but are offering me a scholarship to greyshirt."
Wilson reiterated his fondness for Riley.
"At the coaches meeting, Frank said he's been knowing me a long time and knows where my heart's at," Riley recounted. "He said I'm a phenomenal player and they can't have me leave the state.
"He said I'll have a full scholarship for five years and that some (of the current 2013 commitments) may leave."
Wilson and Riley will speak again today.
"Frank wants me to call him at 6:30 A.M. from the airport," said Riley, who is flying to Minnesota this morning on an official visit.
Will Riley make a decision soon?
"We'll just have to wait and see," he said.
