Nunez will transfer from U of L

Sidelined all season after a concussion, University of Louisville sophomore wing Angel Nunez has opted to transfer. Nunez will leave at the semester break.

Sophomore Angel Nunez, who has only played 55 minutes during his career, has decided to transfer from the University of Louisville basketball team.

The 6-foot-8 Nunez had missed the first 10 games of this season after being sick for the opener and then suffering a concussion that sidelined him every since.

Nunez is also behind Wayne Blackshear and Luke Hancock on the depth chart and both will also be back on the roster next season.

Nunez will leave and won't be eligible at another Division I school until the start of the second semester next school year. He will be a sophomore.

Nunez only played 12 games last season for the Cards and scored a total of 24 points, playing 55 minutes. He had a tough time learning the U of L defense.
