PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Rutgers junior Jeremy Deering is playing safety in bowl practices, and he talked about whether or not it could be his future position.

Rutgers junior Jeremy Deering played receiver and was a "Wildcat" quarterback as a freshman, moved to running back as a sophomore and played receiver as a junior.

Now, as Rutgers prepares to play Virginia Tech in the Russell Athletic Bowl on Dec. 28, Deering is working out at safety.

Following a recent practice, he went 1-on-1 with ScarletReport.com to discuss his position changes, his comfort at safety and playing a bowl game in Orlando, which is close to his Tampa home.
