Sophomore wide receiver Flynn Nagel was one of the integral parts of a high powered Marist High (Ill.) offense.
"I think it went pretty well for my sophomore year," Nagel said. "We didn't get as far as we hoped or were planning to get in the playoffs, but we put a lot of work in."
He added, "We can't blame our season on one game though, we had a pretty good season otherwise and I think we will bounce back next year and make a run."
And colleges are beginning to take notice of the speedy Nagel.
"Recruiting is going pretty well," Nagel said. "Coach Dunne has called me down for some schools but they can't do much talking because I am an underclassman." ?
He added, "I finished my highlights a week or two ago so I know Coach Dunne has been sending those out as well as some others."
Nagel has one goal with his sophomore film.
"I am just trying to get my film out to as many coaches as I can," Nagel said.
When it comes to narrowing down exactly who he likes, it's too early to even try.
"To be honest I never really had a favorite school," Nagel said. "I've always liked the Big Ten and just kind of watched every game I have a chance to watch."
He continued, "I am interested in whatever school I can go to and play football and get a quality education at because I am blessed to be able to play such a great game that I love so much."
And for someone that hasn't seen him play, Nagel describes his game pretty easily.
"I am quick and fast," Nagel said. "I love to make moves in the open field, and I was blessed with the ability to read defenders and make quick cuts so I am thankful for that. I just try my best to do as best as I can to help the team out as much as I can."
