"I have a top five right now, but I am not really ready to release it," said Alexander. "I haven't set up any visits yet either."
Alexander wanted to focus most of his energies on his final prep season before concentrating on his future.
"I like to compare myself to how I did the year before," explained Alexander. "I feel like I had a hell of a season this year.
"I played hard this year and I feel like I had my best season.
"We won a lot of games and I feel like I gave all I had to this team."
Alexander has the versatility to play all over the defensive secondary and he is eager to find the right spot to fill on the next level.
"I feel like I am probably going to play the boundary on the next level, but I can play the field or do some nickel," said Alexander. "I am a cover guy, but I am not scared to come up and really hit somebody.
"I like being out there and making big plays, so I want to play where I can help the team the most."
While Alexander is being a little coy about his top schools, the talented corner reports that several schools in the south are among his most consistent suitors.
"The schools that are recruiting me the hardest are Mississippi State, Clemson and I would say Alabama, Tennessee and Arkansas," said Alexander. "There are a lot of them still recruiting me, but those are probably the ones after me the hardest right now."
Alexander has not established a time frame for a decision, but he is considering waiting until signing day to make his intentions known.
"That's real a tough question for me to answer right now," said Alexander. "It might go down to signing day, but I don't even know right now.
"After I take some visits, I will have a better idea of when I want to do it.
"I want to go somewhere that I can play early, but at the same time, I want to play with great players.
"I don't want to just go somewhere to get on the field as a freshman and not have the chance to win a lot.
"I want to go somewhere I can start my career early and be part of a great team."
