All-Star Film: Chris Jones

Chris Jones is well known in certain recruiting circles in the South, but after his performance all week during the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic, he is en route to becoming a true national prospect. The evidence is inside.

Chris Jones has certain things going for him that you can't develop or coach. For one, his massive 6-foot-6 frame has room to build upon despite already sitting at 270 pounds.

When he gets down in his stance, he has a certain quick-twitch first step that often puts offensive tackles in a bind.

Combine that with raw strength and a very above-average motor and flat-out desire to get the the ball carrier, and you have a special prospect.

Jones is currently a four-star defensive end committed to Mississippi State, but he is poised for a boost in the rankings after the show he put on last week. It culminated with a standout game, in which he led Team Mississippi with eight tackles, including three for loss and a sack. Jones also contributed on a safety in the star-studded game.

Mississippi would fall 21-16 to Alabama, but Jones was named MVP of the visiting team. Take a direct look why at the exclusive highlights below...
