Sammamish (Wash.) Skyline quarterback and USC commit Max Browne has been named the Gatorade National Player of the Year.

2012-13 Gatorade National Football Player of the Year

  • Led the Spartans to a 14-0 record and the Class 4A state championship
  • Threw for 4,526 yards and 49 touchdowns
  • Completed 277-of-377 pass attempts while throwing just five interceptions
  • Set the state record for career completions with 882
  • Threw for 12,947 career passing yards
  • Volunteers locally on behalf of the American Cancer Society Relay for Life and Generation Joy
  • Maintains a 3.5 GPA in the classroom
