BERKELEY -- California freshman guard Tyrone Wallace was awfully quiet in his first career start -- at least until the second half. The 6-foot-4 Bakersfield, Calif., native went 0-for-4 from the field in the first stanza of the Bears' 68-59 win over UC Santa Barbara, missing the only three-point shot he took. As the second half dawned, though, Wallace nailed two straight threes and went on to go 3-for-6 from the field, 2-for-3 from beyond the arc and 2-for-3 from the free throw line in the second half, finishing with 10 points and a career-high-tying 10 rebounds for his first career double-double. Wallace became just the second Cal player to have a double-double this season, joining sophomore David Kravish, who had 11 points and 12 boards against Denver.
