Lewis Feels TCU Good Matchup

One Spartan who feels the matchup between Michigan State and TCU is solid is junior safety Isaiah Lewis.

For junior safety Isaiah Lewis this year's bowl matchup against TCU is another solid test for Michigan State.

"I feel like it is a pretty good matchup," said Lewis. "They kind of remind us of Northwestern. They have pretty good guys on the offensive side of the ball, athletic guys, And I feel like we have athletes on our side of the ball as well. It will be a good matchup.

"We have to be all over the place and be on our game that day. We have to be conditioned."

Despite a long layoff, Lewis feels the Spartans are ready to go.

"We are eager to get out there and play our game again," said Lewis. "I'm excited to play against a team from a different conference. Seeing how we matchup against different conferences and it is always fun to see how the competition compares.

As for winning a second straight bowl game, Lewis knows what it means.

"That would be great for the program," said Lewis. "That would be a great accomplishment for Coach D, being a good coach that he is. And it would be a good accomplishment for our team as well.
