"I thought that we came together at the end as a team and battled hard through the whole season," junior Davante Brown said. "And I just want to thank God for all the games we were able to play and for a healthy season for everybody.
"We came together there finally at the end. If we would have come together a little earlier, we probably could have made a good run in the playoffs."
Brown took away many positives from his junior campaign.
"Overall it was a good season," he said. "I learned a new position and some new things, and I'm ready for next year.
"I started on both offense and defense. I started at offensive guard and defensive tackle. I tried to learn both as good as possible. It really doesn't matter to me where I play. I just want to help out the team."
Brown says a couple of of college recruiters have projected him as a center.
As mentioned, he's open and willing to man any spot.
"I want to help my team out and play football," he said. "I love football and that's all I want to do."
"I'm looking at those schools but any school really (is a potential program of interest)," Brown said. "I talked to Les Miles. I've had a couple of other phone calls and a couple of letters, but I try not to think about that too much until it comes time to make my decision."
