"The offers started coming in recently, like late November and this month. I think they started recruiting me again because their seasons are now finishing up," he said.
The 6-foot-3, 230-pound prospect has an early leader.
"I really like Montana State. They have a chance to win the National Title every year and they have a great stadium and game environment. Pretty much the whole city comes out to watch their games, which is just awesome to me," he said.
Braun will head to campus to check out the program on January 16th. He has two other visits scheduled in January, as well.
"I will be visiting Eastern Washington is on January 11th and have a visit to Montana State scheduled for January 25th. Those are probably the only visits I'm going to take because I don't have much time," he said.
Though Braun plays a variety of defensive positions for Redlands East Valley, he is mainly being recruited as an outside linebacker, though he thinks he could potentially play inside, as well, depending on his size.
As he continues to explore his options, Braun, who lists his strength and speed as his biggest player assets, is keeping it pretty simple when deciding what he's hoping for in his future school.
"Honestly, I just want to go somewhere with a good football program in a nice environment," he said.
