Dieng, sidelined since late November because of a broken left wrist, received clearance for full-contact practice on Wednesday and looked just fine. He has been working out with the team for more than a week, just not full contact.U of L coach Rick Pitino said several times that he was hoping to have him back for the rivalry game against UK, but that didn't look great until the doctors appointment.
Dieng suffered the broken scaphoid bone in his left wrist, against Missouri last month at the Battle 4 Atlantis in the Bahamas. He has missed seven games but did warm up the past three games with the team.
Dieng is averaging 8.2 points, 8.0 rebounds and two rebounds in five games. He was among the top 50 candidates for the Wooden Award and Naismith Award.
