Keys to Victory: Jets at Bills

Even with their playoff hopes gone, Gang Green will look to avoid a last place finish in the AFC East with a win over Buffalo on Sunday.

1. Stop C.J.

In the Jets 48-28 season opening victory over the Bills, Buffalo running back C.J. Spiller rushed for 169 yards on 14 carries slicing and dicing Gang Green's defensive front. The former Clemson University standout already eclipsed the 1,000 yard rushing plateau this season, making a strong case for the NFL's most improved player award. Rex Ryan's unit will need to have all hands on deck to contain an electric Spiller, who is a homerun threat every time he touches the ball.

2. Run the Rock

Buffalo is among the NFL's worst rush defenses and with a strong ground and pound performance the Jets can crack the league's top ten rushing rankings. Shonn Greene needs just 11 yards to reach 1,000 rushing yards for the second consecutive season. With Mark Sanchez once again under center, No. 6 is going to need the full support of his tailbacks in order to cap off the 2012 campaign on a high note.

3. Pick Fitz

In the teams' first meeting this year, New York intercepted quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick three times. Gang Green's top flight secondary will need another virtuoso outing to keep the Bills passing attack at bay. If the Jets lockdown Buffalo's aerial assault they could potentially finish the regular season as the NFL's best pass defense even without All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis.

Prediction Time:

The Jets end the season the way they started it, with a win over the Bills. While Sanchez has been under fire for his lackluster play, the former USC Trojan will find his way against Buffalo with a convincing win in Western New York.
