Shrine Bowl Game Film: D.J. Jones

D.J. Jones had an impressive performance at the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas. See him in action in this presentation by FOX Sports Next.

D.J. Jones performed well in the trenches against some of the best offensive lineman from North Carolina in Shrine Bowl.

Jones has six scholarship offers – Appalachian State, Coastal Carolina, Gardner-Webb, Louisiana-Lafayette, Newberry College, and UNC-Charlotte. He is also attracting interest from North Carolina State.

Although the Piedmont (S.C.) Wren defensive tackle is somewhat undersized at 6-foot-1, 288 pounds, there is a lot to like about his game. He is extremely strong and plays with good leverage. Jones also shows good quickness and agility. He does a nice job using his hands to fight of blocks and has a non-stop motor. While Jones is a prospect that has flown somewhat under-the-radar, I expect him to be a very good player at the collegiate level.
