Blue Devils flip Wolfpack commit

The Blue Devils have flipped a second recruit in the class of 2013. This time it's former North Carolina State safety commit, Chris Holmes who verbally committed to Duke this past weekend.

In mid-December Chris Holmes visited Duke officially after the coaching change occurred in Raleigh. Just before the new year, Holmes informed the Duke coaching staff that he would accept a scholarship offer.

"I had a better bond with the coaches and the players at Duke," Holmes told Nathan Warters of Fredericksburg.com. "And it's a team on the turnaround, and I want to be part of that."

Duke's recruitment of Holmes begin during the summer of his junior year he made the trip to Durham for camp and continued until he made the decision to attend NC State over offers fromMichigan, Boston College, Clemson, Illinois, Maryland, and South Carolina.

Holmes measures out at 6-foot-3 and 195 pounds and projects as a safety for Duke.
