Florida WR says he's rock solid

Anthony Lauro is a talented wide receiver prospect from Manatee High and Scout caught up with him to discuss the latest.

Anthony Lauro just recently finished a strong senior season, in which he made a college commitment about halfway through. He talked about the season his future team had.

"Akron improved a lot from last year, I think they had a good year this year, they had a lot of close games. I was really impressed with how they played against Tennessee."

Lauro, 5-foot-10 and 200 pounds, talked about his chances of playing right away next season.

"The coaches say my chances of playing right away are pretty good, I'm a gray shirt so going in 2014 will really help my chances of playing right away."

Lauro also talked about the relationship he's built with one of his future coaches.

"I talk to Coach Stroud quite a bit, our relationship is good. He's an awesome dude. Schools aren't calling me much anymore, ever since the knee injury they have somewhat backed off."

The talented wide receiver prospect says his commitment is solid, but he'd listen to what others had to say if they came calling.

"For right now I'm a solid commit. But I wouldn't mind seeing if anyone else is interested, we'll just have to see what happens."
