Semper Fi: Day 3, Ready to Show More

FULLERTON, Calif. -- Each day FOXSportsNEXT will take a look at five players on the East squad who are looking to improve their game for the next day's practice for the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl. Here are Wednesday's five from the East.

Every day of practice cannot be the best, but it doesn't mean a player isn't the best. Each day during the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl practices, FOXSportsNEXT team will look at five players who are talented, but didn't have the best day on the field. Here are the five coming out of Wednesday's practice.

Nadir Barnwell, CB, Piscataway (N.J.) High
The Rutgers commit admitted after the day he was fatigued from the SoCal heat and also from an active practice Tuesday, and he felt it Wednesday. He had heavy legs and had didn't have the explosion or top speed he had a day before, but he was able to turn well in individual drills.

Austin Allen, QB, Fayetteville (Ark.) High
Allen, who is committed to Arkansas, made nice reads in the team period and 7-on-7s but his accuracy suffered. He under threw several open receivers and also missed an open post pass over the middle. It comes a day after he looked the best of the three quarterbacks, so he has the ability to play better.

D.J. Park, OT, Dillon (S.C.) High
The offensive line, sans Mike McGlinchey, has had trouble through the three full practices and that continued with Wednesday's final full practice. Park had trouble moving his feet and keeping his balance. The South Carolina commit had a tough time protecting the quarterback as the defensive tackle was using a quick first step to get through and get to the backfield just too easily.

Austin Sanders, OT, Bradley Central High (Cleveland, Tenn)
The future Tennessee Volunteer struggled in a one-on-one drill and also in team periods. Several times had his hands on the defender's face mask, which would be called a penalty in games.

Jeremy Cutrer, DB, Sumner High (Kentwood, La.)
The LSU commit didn't spend much time on the field. He is playing safety for the East squad, and he has the speed to play sideline-to-sideline, but his reps were limited as he remained on the sideline taking things in.
